TARMOND DIEL-02

ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE MACHINING OIL

Product Description:
TARMOND DIEL-02 is a premium dielectric fluid meeting the requirements for insulation and controlled dielectric discharge during electric discharge machining operations. It is designed for the finest, most delicate machining operations, particularly in small EDM units working or finishing operations where very close tolerances are important. With synthetic base fluid technology to suit spark erosion machines of all power ratings and sizes. It is multipurpose dielectric fluid, designed to enable optimum rates of metal removal, together with low electrode wear, good surface finish and fine tolerances. It exhibits a relatively high flash point that helps reduce the possibility of fire. The low viscosity of the fluid provides good circulation through the spark gap and more rapid removal and settling of metal fines. It has excellent oxidation stability which helps reduce the formation of oxidation products that will alter the dielectric strength of the fluid. It exhibits a high dielectric strength which provides insulation of the tool and workpiece and helps control electric discharge during the machining operation.

Applications:
It can be used for grinding cutting tools, as low viscous spindle oil (e.g. for narrow fit spindles) and as magnetic particle inspection oil. It is also used in plunge or ram electrical discharge machining and glass grinding.

Benefits:

  • Outstanding oxidation resistance, provides excellent cooling, flushing and filterability
  • Low viscosity and odour with highest purity
  • The high electric strength

Please check your owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommended oil viscosity grade and API classification and approvals.
